This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a team of dynamic technical staff in Keele University’s School of Geography, Geology, and the Environment which is part of the Faculty of Natural Sciences. The School’s activities encompass cutting edge research and teaching excellence in environmental science, geography, geology/geoscience, human geography and physical geography.
You will be expected to provide technical support to facilitate the effective delivery of teaching programmes and research activities across the school. You will be involved in the running and maintenance of teaching and research equipment, supporting research activities of academic staff, demonstrating to students on how to use subject specific techniques, software and equipment, and supporting student projects. You will also be involved in supporting our extensive and energetic programme of student recruitment activities and outreach activities.

The Technician Commitment is a sector-wide initiative led by the Science Council and supported by the Gatsby Foundation, which aims to help address key challenges facing technical staff working in research.
