Job details
Full time fixed term / secondment opportunity for 12 months
(with a possibility for the contract to be extended at the end of this)
This post represents an exciting secondment opportunity to support the day to day coordination and provide day-to-day operational project management of a series of research studies managed by the School of Medicine’s Clinical
Trials Unit (CTU). Our nationally accredited UK CRC CTU provides specialist and dedicated support to a strong portfolio of externally funded research studies. It has a strong commitment to, and nationally leading reputation in, delivering high quality research studies. This position requires strong coordination and operational project management skills to ensure that assigned research studies are delivered and maintained in accordance with GCP, SOPs and other relevant legal frameworks. The post holder will work in a highly regulated environment and in accordance with UK data legislation requirements.
Applications are welcomed from persons with evidence of successful project management experience. Experience and understanding of applied quantitative or qualitative research methods undertaken in health settings are also required. The post holder will have excellent interpersonal, communication and strong organisation skills as you will be required to liaise with a broad range of individuals and groups. You will have a highly systematic and methodical approach to work-related tasks, along with a proven ability to communicate effectively (face to face, over the telephone and in writing). You will have strong IT skills and be familiar and proficient with Microsoft Office software, email and the use of the internet, and other software applications. You will have a degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in a Health related discipline, or equivalent demonstrable experience working in a clinical research / project management role.
