As part of the continued development of The School of Life Sciences we are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Neuroscience. This post is a key appointment which will be of importance in enhancing the School’s Neuroscience research profile and developing undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision. Specifically you will engage in, and publish, world leading research and generate research income; successfully supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students and undertake teaching responsibilities relevant to programmes of the School. This post represents an exciting opportunity for an individual to develop their research in a buoyant and expanding School of Life Sciences, which has strong links to the schools of Medicine, Psychology and the Veterinary Science.
You should have a Ph.D. Neuroscience or a related area, which compliments the research profile of the School of Life Sciences. Applications are invited from candidates with expertise in any area of Neuroscience and its applications but we would strongly welcome applicants who compliment our current research areas including sensory, molecular, physiological, pharmacological and behavioural aspects, as well as related clinical and translational research and/or research areas that can strengthen or develop cross theme or disciplinary research opportunities, such as arboviral neuropathies or insect neuroscience.
