This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join the Employability and Employer Engagement team within the Keele Institute for Innovation and Teaching Excellence (KIITE). As part of the Office for Students/Research England Student Knowledge Exchange Re-Imagined – Removing the barriers, engaging communities Project, Keele University and the University of Birmingham are working together to innovate in student mediated knowledge exchange, to remove barriers to engagement and engage marginalised communities. We will develop and expand successful, complementary approaches prioritising disadvantaged students, service learning and digital delivery. We will demonstrate what works, focusing on sustainability, regional economic impact and delivering external benefits such as enhanced employability, and solutions to business challenges and problems. We will develop, test and innovate in the following three areas (1) Student Consultancy, Internships and Challenges (1) Enterprise/start-up Challenges (3) Knowledge Exchange Impact Tool.
The Enterprise Adviser will support via the project the development of enterprise and entrepreneurship knowledge, skills and behaviours amongst students, graduates and staff. This will include a range of individuals, pre-starts and start-ups including commercial, social enterprises and freelancers. The role will work with the project team, academic colleagues, students, graduates and professional services colleagues from across the University.
